The Audio in Star Wars: The Old Republic Will Be Insane
Once in a while, while trolling my favorite video-game blogs, I’ll run into something that directly correlates with AASG as well as my love of video-games. Today was one of those days.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is a new joint-venture between BioWare and LucasArts. It’s a Star Wars MMO and, according to the most recent dev blog, the script spans 40+ full length novels. That’s a lot of dialouge!
The dev blog (linked above) gives a really nice insight as to what voice-over work for video-games is, what kind of team it takes to record game dialouge, and just how much work it can really be. Things like this are great little bits of insight for us not working inside the video-game industry.
