AEA RPQ Mic Pre Nominated for TEC Award
Seems like the 2009 TEC Awards are coming up as I just got this press release from AEA:
(Pasadena, CA) The AEA RPQ Mic Pre with Curveshaper has been nominated for a 2009 Technical Excellence & Creativity Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement, Microphone Preamplifier Technology.
Voting for the 25th Annual TEC Awards will begin on August 10 via online balloting by members of leading professional organizations, including AES, SPARS, the Producers and Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy and G.A.N.G. (Game Audio Network Guild). If you or your colleagues belong to any of these groups, please contact them for information on how to cast your TEC Awards voter ballot for the AEA RPQ.
If you’ve never had the experience of recording with a ribbon mic, you’re really missing out. However, outside of an academic setting, I don’t think I’ll ever own one!
Check out AEA’s website for more info on the RPQ. It looks damn fine, if I do say so myself.
