Audiofile Engineering has released their professional grade field recording iPhone/iPod Touch app dubbed FiRe 1.3. It’s available right now from the app store for $9.99

The app has several selling points, the first being the iZotope created DSP engine that Audiofile Engineering licensed for this app. With iZotope’s legacy behind this app, you can be sure that it’s going to sound great.

The second selling point for this program is the fact that it’s the only recording program that allows you to publish a finished podcast directly from your iPhone/iPod Touch, which is great if you’re on the go and aren’t in front of a laptop.

Keep in mind, too, that this is a new version of the FiRe app, so some stuff has changed for the better:
