Akai will be rolling out the APC20 later this year. A smaller and more compact brother to the APC40, its newest (and most major) feature is “Note Mode,” a mode that allows you to use your APC20 as a MIDI controller. Aside from that, its pretty much exactly the APC40 only a little smaller.

Ableton wants you to use this in conjunction with your APC40 (or Launchpad) to further expand your setup.

The APC20 will be available in the second quarter of this year at a (rumored) $199.
